I missed Henry so much while I was away... but he is my brother and I love him so it's not that silly...

Clearly this isn't him because that shoe would have been destroyed by the time I found my camera

but I will make it my quest to train him to sit for photo shoots as soon as I can ... after all, he has finally mastered the art of leash walking at the age of 3 so surely he can do sitting and smiling!

In a few hours I head home after my couple of weeks working up in the Top End. I was welcomed so warmly and have seen some fantastically interesting medicine, but undeniably, there is no place like home ..

But let's spare a thought for those in Queensland who can't go home today due to the devastating floods that have swept the region. Stay safe, my friends xx

 That said, emulating these images wouldn't be that complicated in my little studio ...

I have the bust (well, it's a chicken but it would work) ...

Oh, happy news!

Last week my beautiful sister Georgie and her hansome beau Dave announced they are engaged to be married (the same date as my brother got engaged last year... I feel a trend emerging, remember this future husbands) ... we are tickled pink for them and I'm undeniably thrilled to be styling another happy family  wedding...

They have their hearts set on a barn in the Adelaide Hills ... fellow SA crowd, have you got any ideas that aren't the usual venues?

Combo ...

 I love navy blue... no secret there! Despite this great love affair, I have made a resolution this year to force myself to branch out with my colour choices... so, reinventing some classic colour schemes is top of my list!

This scrumptious Ikat couch paired with the silver drum and pink roses is a lovely contemporary interpretation of an old school colour combo ... blue, silver and pink always works

 This crazy blue zebra ( or is it faux bois?) looks amazing against the trad furniture with just a teensy zing of orange and teal ... flowers are such a great way of playing with colour without the committment to paint or fabric ...

 And this solid block of perfect-school-uniform-navy paint is perfectly cut with that vivid yellow shot silk ... it's a brave choice but looks amazing ... and interestingly serves to accent the blue even more ...

I'm inspired... bold interiors, watch out!

Travel ...

Today I realised something lovely ... every holiday I've ever been on (technincally East Timor was work and not a holiday) has incidentally taken in a UNESCO World Heritage site...

Now, it is probably only a travel geek like me that would realise this, but it was a lovely revelation. I therefore feel that each holiday from here on in should involve another one...

I've got a lot of catching up to do since I have only seen 16 out of 911 sites...
